just lost 30 hours of loot in about 1 min

I was grabbing carbon on this planet in survival and I got a warning telling me a storm is coming so I started going back to my ship and boom I was launched 30 feet in the air by some tornado thing and then slammed into the ground and killed and have now lost around 30 hours of gear I had on my player thanks for letting me complain edit thanks to Prior_Medicine_3155 I found out I had my setting set to destroy my loot instead of putting it in to a grave so thanks to Prior_Medicine_3155

Hi, as there were questions about this subject, I decided to compare 2 identical ships and their stats. Both ships are from the same planet, 1 is intentionally picked original C class and 1 is original S class. I made sure their technologies are the same.

Btw RIP my nanites… :))

Original S class is slightly better but the difference is really small. So it almost doesn’t matter if you want to pick up original S class or upgrade one. Of course the gap will be bigger with added weapons, dmg upgrades and so on.
Original S class stats:
DMG: 413.5
Shield: 198.6
Hyperdrive: 653.3
Man.: 486.9

Original C class stats:
DMG: 146.9
Shield: 171.9
Hyperdrive: 601.0
Man.: 292.9

Upgraded S class from C class stats:
DMG: 396.4
Shield: 198.6
Hyperdrive: 650.4
Man.: 465.1

The difference between originally spawned S class and upgraded S class:
DMG: 17.1
Shield: 0
Hyperdrive: 2.9
Man.: 21.8
