NMS HOT POST

3.5 hours later, S class freighter!

3.5 hours later, S class freighter!

I’ve been playing since day 1, and this is going to be my first S class freighter. I’ve been wwiting to have a reason to switch up from my starter freighter. It’ll be sad to see the og go, but I need a higher fleet coordination and I’ve always wanted the superflat n sleek capital freighter with a korvax crew so after finding the right system, thank you r/NMSCoordinateExchange ; I tried saving on a space station after my 3 hours were up but when I came back out they were gone… so after a bit of a rage I went to bed and set me alarm for 3 hours. Afterward I spent almost the next 4 getting c class after c class I wasn’t sure it was working until the first hour passed I got my first change with an A class. So stoked to finally be done with this horse shite.

The Artemis choice

I’ll try to keep this short, but last week, my cat got really sick, really quickly and unexpectedly. We took him to the vet, and found out he had the cat version of diverticulitis (I can’t remember what it was called)

We were not ready to let him go, he was a wonderful cat, but I was being selfish with that type of thinking. He was in so much pain, and already had to be so strong and brave, I couldn’t ask him to suffer anymore. We decided to help him pass on.

It made me think of the Artemis choice, whether to force them to live or let them die.

My next playthrough, I’m gonna let them go.

I love you all, thanks for reading.

I Got Sucked Up Into A Tornado

I’ve got about 200 hours in the game and had something happen for the first time ever. There I was, at a colossal archive building on a snow planet, ignoring the weather. Big winter storm waring. Next thing I know, I’m in the air, above the clouds at one point, spinning around. Then slammed into the ground for notable damage. It happened two or three more times before I noticed the little funnel clouds in the area and my health was half gone. I could not stop laughing. This game just keeps giving and giving.

Tips on 'Salvaged frigate modules' and how to get them early game(50-60 hour's in)

Best method for me: Just rip the fleets in space apart, don’t bother looking for the cargo pods withe the modules. Destroy everything,so the freighters as well. Easy targets and they give you great loot(s-class freighter upgrades+dumbloads of bulkhead storage modules which you need to expand the storage and tech slots on your freighter)as well. Just have enough sodium to recharge your shields. You can do that with 3-4 fleets in every system before they stop spawning. Then just jump to the next system and repeat.

Note: Try to go to rich systems. I don’t know if you get s-class upgrades in poorer systems as well. Always keep an eye on the race of the system(Gek,Korvax,Vykeen). Stick with one race, cause after all you gonna destroy your own reputation pretty quickly. So loose it on one and not all three of them.

End of the song: Keep expanding your freighter slots with the bulkhead storage modules(you can choose if you wanna use them for tech or storage, just click on a tech slot and it will be used for that), soon you will have more bulkhead storage modules and freighter upgrades than you need so you can sell them for nanites at the space station. Meanwhile your ‘salvaged frigate modules’ keep filling up. Still gonna take time but you gonna kill a LOT of bird’s with one stone.

Would you sacrifice your bases and coordinate locations for an NMS planet update ?

A new planet update may not require anything to change on pre-existing planets. HG could spawn in new planets and systems that coexist alongside what is already there. However, this topic is just meant as thought exorcise for discussion spawned purely out of curiosity.

I love my bases. I’ve spent so many hours designing them, but even more special are their locations. Paradise planets with geography that almost looks hand crafted. Trade Post and Archive within short teleport distance. Runaway Mold farms built to perfection! Some things you find in the game just can’t be replicated.

I would sacrifice it all for a truly next generation update to planets. Refined terrain generation, larger and denser foliage, more base assets to spawn procedural creatures, foliage, etc.., and planets with biome diversity (this could be a rare find. Not every planet).

If it came down to choosing to keep your old bases or sacrificing them for the new world, what would you do? What would you like to see on next gen planets?

Edit: Grammar and getting popcorn
