Expedition 10 does not deserve its hate

I feel like expedition 10 does not deserve that hate that its gaining form the community. it definitely isn’t as good as some of the other expeditions however I feel like the hate its gained is based solely off of the one bug with the community goal and the time lock data mining speculations. however at least in my experience I found expedition 10 was really fun and interesting. the aspect of building the construct over the course of the expedition was very fun and engaging and the rewards for completion are stellar. the construct set looks amazing, the wayfarer’s helmet is one of my favourite and the decoration items and jetpack trail are also impressive. I feel that expedition 10 succeeds in providing a fun and engaging experience whilst showing off features of the latest update to those who haven’t had the chance to experience yet such as myself. my only complaints about the expedition is that the community goal bug was incredibly annoying and really ruined the flow of the expedition for me and while interesting, I feel the decision to make the player choose what head piece they want to earn from the expedition is not the best as now people who want both head pieces are forced to play the expedition again in order to unlock it which can be seen as tedious and annoying

Forget the orbital cannons, I want to build (AND PAINT) my own ship.

I want the 3 thrusters in triangular formation, with the angled V wings, and the needle exotic cockpit. Or the Exotic ball cockpit with different combinations. I’m tired of waiting on the RNG to procedurally generate the ship that’s the design AND color I want. We should be able to buy/sell parts, build our own ship, and upgrade it like all others. I don’t need the parts to affect ship performance, we have upgrades for that. I just want to play mad scientistp with different designs. And paint it the colors I want. We can already do this with our character models, now let’s have it with our starships!

Anybody looking for nanites?

Anybody looking for nanites?

I’ve made a base at a Sentinel pillar on a planet that spawns tons of curious deposits. It’s called HTK_Nanite Farm.

Arrive, shut down the sentinels, and go looking for curiuos deposits. You can rack up around 200,000 runaway mould in about ten minutes, 9999 will refine into 1999 nanites in twenty minutes.

I’ve marked 5 locations with save beacons, all <1000u from the base. You can see 4 of them in the pictures.

The curious deposits respawn after about five minutes so by the time you’ve found three, you can go back to the first and just repeat.

The base has thirteen refiners, so you should be able to refine 25,987 nanites every twenty minutes. The refiners are in the round rooms around the landing pad, but you need to use the teleporters in the teleporter room to get to them, or unlock them from the command room overlooking the landing pad (with the flag on it, above the airlock). To get to the teleporters, go through the airlock using the switches, and it’s behind the reception.

If you feel like exploring, harvest atlantideum whilst the sentinels are shut down. Refine 1/3 of your atlantideum into pugneum, and you’ll get equal amounts of atlantideum and pugneum, refine them together to make runaway mould. 9999 atlantideum will net you another 4000 nanites.

There’s also a traveler’s grave right next to the furthest away curious deposit, behind a floating island. There’s also a depot over the valley which you can see from the lounge.

If not, feel free to relax in the base whilst you refine. It’s fully equipped with a kitchen, bedroom, storage container [0], trade terminal, and roamer station, with nice views from the bedroom, lounge, and dining area.
