Got me a S class Resurgent Venator

Got me a S class Resurgent Venator

I’m only about 30 hours of wandering around so far in this game. But I happened to load in and warp to this location today, had some free time so I decided to try to get an S class freighter, since I don’t have one yet. Took maybe 2 hours (2 star system). First hour or so I was accidentally shooting the freighter sometimes, not realizing it would activate sentinels so I couldn’t claim the ship… Then I realized I didn’t even have to fight off the pirates to claim the ship, so I flew in and would reset if not an S class. Had 2 other A class I almost took, but glad I held out a bit longer for this.

So after hundreds of hours of playing, I finally decided to go through the Galactic Core for the fir...

And promptly felt like a newb as I remembered after I went through that you should switch ships and your multi-tool to one of your basic ones. Ouch, fully kitted out Interceptor and multi-tool both full of broken slots! And the best part was that I had thrown out the repair kits that I had stockpiled because I never used them anyway…..

Hilbert seems pretty cool so far though!

Spoiler tagged so I don’t ruin the surprise for anyone who hasn’t done this!

Useful Tip for escaping Sentinel ships

If you’re in space and want to escape sentinal interceptors without fighting them, and you’re past the anomaly part of the story, you can summon the anomaly and jump inside, and it will remove your wanted rating.

Space stations work too, but depending on how far away they are, it can be a pain with a disabled pulse drive.

I figured this one out a few weeks ago, and I use it all the time if I’m not in the mood for a prolonged sentinal space fight.

How did you make your first billion units?

I started playing this game last Christmas and it took awhile for me to get the hang of it. Eventually I found myself drawn to Gravitinos and started farming them exploring between harvests (mostly looking for silver). I learned base building this way and made my first billion units. I know making money isn’t the point of the game but it felt like an accomplishment for me and I was curious how everyone else made their first billion?
