Useful Tip for escaping Sentinel ships

If you're in space and want to escape sentinal interceptors without fighting them, and you're past the anomaly part of the story, you can summon the anomaly and jump inside, and it will remove your wanted rating.

Space stations work too, but depending on how far away they are, it can be a pain with a disabled pulse drive.

I figured this one out a few weeks ago, and I use it all the time if I'm not in the mood for a prolonged sentinal space fight.

Viva S-cLas Vegas-How do I share this location?

Viva S-cLas Vegas-How do I share this location?

So I thought I read that screenshots has the planet coordinates in them. I don’t have the portals unlocked on this playthru yet, but this trading post is amazing!

I was fishing it a little today, only buying shops if they were S+Class, then scrapping them for storage augmentation. Then the ship in the lower left rolls in, a cool looking little number. In the time it took me to transfer from my previous ship, scrap the older one and come back, there were 2 more S-class ships. I bought those, and before I could trade one in, another S landed. I waited maybe 20 seconds more, and there was another. In the space of 5 minutes, I bought all of the shops on the right, and while scrapping them and flying back and forth to the space station, I came across 3 more.

$35 million got me 16 storage sugmentation units and about 20 S-Class modules in about 45 minutes.

Dear Sean/HG: I humbly request if possible that you increase the maximum number of Starships one can...

With a Bazillion types of procedurally generated Starships available – from all the different types of Haulers, Fighters, Explorers, Shuttles,… to the different types of Exotics, such as Squids, Mosquitos, etc,… to the Living Ships, to the Custom Ships, such as the Golden Vector, etc, being limited to just 6 seems very underwhelming, and can be frustrating. 6 seems disproportionally low, especially compared to the maximum 30 Frigates for example. Really, I keep just 5 Starships so I can have an open slot for flipping crashed ships, etc.

As a Day 1 Player with 2,365.2 Hours Play Time at the time of this writing, I can say one of my favorite things to do is to hunt for that perfect Starship, to build a specific fleet with a theme. This is one of the top things that adds to NMS’ replay value for me personally.

I would think increasing the number from 6 to 9, at the very least, would be very feasible, since there are already 9 Landing Pads on Freighters. Or maybe the number of Landing Pads could be increased to facilitate even more than 9 Starships?

Appreciate you taking the time and for the consideration. NMS is truly my Desert Isle game. I cannot express enough the gratitude I (and so many of us) feel towards all of you at HG for your continued development of the game, not to mention all the free updates! A TRUE Labour-of-Love! THANK YOU!

Help! My paving had a cool retro pattern, and now it's gone. Was it a bug or a feature?

Help! My paving had a cool retro pattern, and now it's gone. Was it a bug or a feature?

I started building a base next to an outpost, and the paving had this cool circle/star/petal pattern as in the second picture. The colors changed on it accordingly, it looked awesome. All pavings consistently had that pattern and I don’t recall clicking on anything to pick it. I scrapped that base and moved a bit over to start it again, and the paving was back to it’s boring self. I went back to the outpost to recreate the first try, but paving is still nonpatterned. I tried clicking on all colors/materials but I can’t get it to be like that again. Am I missing something, am I tripping??

I'd really appreciate some kind of "vault" for MTs and ships.

I’m a collector, and I like keeping unique things. I have a couple of expedition ships, as well as the Atlas Staff from the last expedition. The staff and ships are not in my regular use pool of stuff, but getting rid of them appears to mean that I can’t ever get them back. At the expedition rewards vendor, all these things say “previously claimed.” which I’m assuming means they’re one and done. With such a small number of ships and MT’s that we’re able to keep (relative to the massive number of cool looking stuff you can collect.) I feel like a lot of very precious space is getting eaten up by keeping these unique things.

I feel stuck between a rock and hard place. I want to keep the cool looking unique stuff that I don’t think I can get back if I scrap, but I also would like more room.

Even if we can’t keep anything other than the most essential tech on them in “storage” I think it would be great if we had some way to keep more than just 6 MTs and 12 ships. For a game that’s primarily about seeing everything and discovering stuff, we don’t get much in the way of space for the things that matter.
