Switch ships at space stations
Yep the new update allows you to switch ships at a space stations similar to what you could only do at the Anomaly or your Frieghter previously. Nice Touch 👍🏽 submitted by /u/Malaznerd |

I am posting this guide since a lot of us have kept our expedition characters until the end date, to get the most possible value out of them.
Here, I am trying to summarize every great tip about things to do before ending the expedition.
Did I forget anything else? If so, let me know below! 🙂

So NMS newbie here, just got the game 2 weeks ago and I’m maybe 12 hours in… I’d be playing with the standard radiant pillar and actually have grown quite fond of my basic little starship 😊 But I was going through the Artemis quests, was tasked to coll…

1st – Does anyone actually fly an Explorer? Is there a reason to flying an Explorer? I can see the merit to flying a Hauler, when you’re doing a trade route. You can pack a whole lot more commodities into its hull, making for greater profit. And, obviously, the Fighter lets you kill things faster.
As I understand it, the Exotics and Solars are basically improved Fighters, but are harder to find. And I presume Sentinel ships are similarly so. So, I can see good reason to fly a Fighter (or Fighter “variant”) frequently, given how often space battles happen.
But, is there a real benefit to using an Explorer? I get that they have a bonus to the distance they can warp, but… is that actually worth while? With a few mods, any other ship seems to get a pretty respectable distance, too. If I warp into a system and suddenly find myself in a battle that I want to take part in, can my Explorer still compete (assuming I’ve got adequate weapons and mods installed) or am I forced to find a space station, teleport home, swap ships, and then teleport back if I want to fight something… which, obviously, likely means the fight is over when I get back.
Or is the only purpose to flying an Explorer skipping systems and covering extensive distances quickly i.e. warp to furthest system, arriving, then immediately repeating the process x number of times, without stopping. What about the Freighter? I feel like a ship that size should have a hefty distance it can travel, but I’ve never fiddled with them much so I don’t know the extent of their warping capabilities.
2nd – Is there ANY other, more efficient way of farming Di-Hydrogen and/or Tritium? Or is manually grinding it for an hour the only method? Yes, I’m aware Di-Hydrogen can be crafted into Jelly and then crafted back into DH for a profit, but, considering the time it takes to do so, for the amount gained, I see grinding it a far more efficient method. Is there no collector that can be used to farm these two vital resources?

So if you’re grinding Autophage missions to get the cool cosmetics and staff parts, I’m assuming you have the ability to scan for camps via your multi tool. Here’s the method and what’s been most efficient for me: Get to the initial camp Talk to all …

As is says in the title, I’m interested to know if there is a non-cheating way to gather all old and pre-order ships for one player?
Things like Rasamama, Alpha Vector, whatever the Switch ship is called, etc.
The reason I’m asking is because, I was able to get the older PS4 copy and play the 1.00 version to get the Rasamama (and some Atlas stones), but despite being able to update later and still keep the original Rasamama, I didn’t find a way to transfer it among players, since the usual trade-in method doesn’t work, Rasamama transforms into something else for the other player.
Does somebody know any other way to do it?
Thanks in advance.

Just clarifying, I know the drill. Go to a Portal, and travel to the closest planet to the core. Swap to a ship and multi-tool used only “to break” by the jumping. Remove all the exosuit upgrades then head to the core and jump. Wait for all the jump animation to finish. When you arrive, build a base in the new galaxy, fix the ship to allow it to fly, find another portal, activate the glyphs, and repeat the process. If you want to have access to all galaxies without depending on anyone you will need to do it at least 255 times! And even though the steps above reduce the cost of the trip, you still need to spend fixing the ship, activating portals, warp cells and building a base. Also unless you do all 255 galaxies in one run, which can take hours, you will need to remove and return your upgrades every time you stop and restart this process. I have more than 40 upgrades in my exosuit tech storage. Because they are already optimised to use the supercharged slots, I need to move these upgrades in a way to keep them in the same slot when I return them, which is very time-consuming in not a good way. Another issue is that in the end, you will have your base list so cluttered with bases to access galaxies in your terminal, that will make it a nightmare to find the base you need, given the teleporter has no sorting or search options. It doesn’t make sense to me. I mean it is a game in which the main focus is “exploration“, what is the point of making it so hard and annoying to explore other galaxies? What I am asking is simple, the possibility to travel to any galaxy without someone’s help or the need to catalogue all galaxies. There are many ways that it could be done. Here is one example that could be made without changing the current mechanic too much: In this idea Atlas Station is connected to one and only one of the 255 Galaxies. So we need at least 256 Atlas Stations in each Galaxy. The community will have the role of identifying which A.S. is linked to each galaxy. My point to suggest using the Atlas Stations is because they are a cool feature that, after the “Atlas Path” mission, become kind of useless, a glorified Iteration Helios, also I think it makes some sense in the game’s lore. My suggestion:
Pros:
Cons:
There are other solutions that could make things even easier, like using the Atlas Stations as a portal in itself, nothing breaks, etc. But I think it’s good not to make things too easy either, just not as punishing as today. I hope HG address that one day. submitted by /u/Cristiano7676 |
