So while basebuilding inside my frieghter, I removed a door while being a bit too close to it. This led me to being stuck in the walls of the frieghter. I tried to jetpack back in through where the ship is enters but I was still stuck ‘outside of the map’ so to speak.
I tried reloading a save but the autosave had made one post bug.
All out of options, I decided to make a leap of faith down to my planet. Luckily I had summoned the frieghter while on it, so it was as close as could be.
Burned through close to 2000 sodium, 450 sodium nitrate and 10 life support packs. By the time I landed on the ground I was completely out of resources and was moments away from death.
I had never been so happy to see one of those bastard venus-man trap plants that can miraculously harm you from a meter away. Zapped it up and recharged.
One of the best moments in my gaming life, despite the bug.

It’s going to be a pretty basic little base, but I’ve been wanting to try building a base into some existing ruins for a while. submitted by /u/PezRojo |

Just a rough build, could make it 100% look alike but that would take 3 days haha submitted by /u/Potential_Fennel_864 [link] [comments]

It’s those black circles, for those who don’t know. I don’t know why they never called to me before but I finally was looking for things I don’t typically decorate with and played around with these things, and they make awesome star-like decorations for buildings and signs. The coolest thing, which you can’t see in photos, is that they look 2-dimensional no matter how you view them. As you move around you see that they always look like flat circles and not spheres. 5 out of 5 would recommend submitted by /u/DivByZeroLLC |

ive begun to use first person a lot more. i think its a lot more immersive and atmospheric, and it also makes building a lot less of a headache (of course i use the free camera but sometimes i like to not use it)
i think it also adds another part to the survival element, as it really feels more like you’re the one surviving, instead of just controlling someone else whos surviving.

I’m still “noobish” (finished the artemis storyline).
I love finding new planets and love how amazing they look from afar, but I’ve found that with most planets merely landing on one of them and getting the base stats is all I need. Some planets are gorgeous (a “paradise” planet filled with eery green and purple lights, a gorgeous earth-like mountainous planet, etc), but for most of them, I feel there’s very little incentive to actually go out and explore the planet itself. Most of the time I don’t find anything unique anyway. An inhabited outpost, an abandoned building.
Am I the only one?

Sometimes I come across an interesting planet with water that I’d like to explore and build a little base on, BUT … it has aggressive Sentinels. I haven’t yet figured out how to deal with them.
Any tips and experiences are welcome.
