My idea for a Gas Giant; one could spawn per system (with like a 40% chance of spawning in a system) and it could harbor 2-3 moons. But what would make this interesting is the moons that it could harbor would be more unique and far larger than the moons currently in the game, basically planets trapped in this giant’s orbit. Now you’re probably thinking how the gas giant would actually work since its, you know, made of gas. My idea is when you drive your ahip inside the gas giant, its a huge storm that decreses visability and can damage your ship if you’re not careful. But the plus side to this massive risk is you can find rare recourses in bulk, enticing players to actively take that risk. Idk, just somwthink ive been thinking about 😄 submitted by /u/SkitsKing |

Good lord this one is the best out there. The feeling of discovery, always something new around the corner, the freedom of being who you wanna be, so much to explore, to see, breath taking views, etc. Its just awesome. Ever since Hello Games did NMS right and actually gave it the promised features, I’ve been hooked. After a bad day at work, I just log in and enjoy the atmosphere, the beautiful planet landscapes and you know….it just goes away. Its peaceful, awesome and I can revel in its beauty. I might not be the most min maxing player out there (because I feel this game doesn’t need that level of optimization but to each his own) but you know….this game helps. When I feel down, its beauty and the feeling it inspires always do good. Just my 2 cents.

I would like to preface this by saying there are a hundred different options for farming both credits and nanites, most of which may very well be better than this, but for this run I have solely focused on being a pirate. You can use the pirate’s path to earn either of these currencies no matter what vessel you choose to fly, I just try to do things with a little swag when I can, hence the Swag class hauler. You will get a considerable amount of pirate bounties finding their way to you as you do this which can boost rep and increase gains as well as liven things up a bit. I would recommend farming them alongside the run if they get close to you but I chose not to in order to better track the raw value of the stolen goods. I didn’t track how long this takes as it will be different for everyone. I personally tasked myself with hunting down a 48 slot S class hauler and maxed its inventory before I even began. This alone could take you an unimaginable amount of time if you don’t use the coordinate exchange. Something in hindsight I wish I had done, though I am a fan of the orange Serenity I managed to find. Another factor in the time spent would be the system you farm. I would consider myself very lucky with my system fleets, I had multiple large vessels for each fleet, and I found the system in my first couple of warps, your RNG will be different. I will admit this took hours to accomplish, even with all of the RNG odds in my favor. If you made it this far, Thank you. If you’re interested in a painful challenge, come join the ranks of billionaire pirates, just don’t forget the Swag. Below are some stats I decided to jot down. The Stats Illicit Goods – 1,169,527,318 GrahGrah – 1,750 Banned Weapons – 500 First Spawn Relics – 618 Counterfeit Circuits – 1,326 Prismatic Feathers – 2,150 Moon Ether – 2,700 Stolen DNA Samples – 2,399 Nanites – 67,396 Suspicious packets Arms – 91 Tech – 110 Junk – 53,194,790 credits Loot I Kept 280 Freighter fuel 49 Salvaged Frigate Modules PTSD submitted by /u/Orbinox |

So, aside from lighting that’s way too Klingon (clearly these pirates are Star Trek fans), I’m wondering if anyone’s taken a space walk to check things out. I did. And I found 3 armed anti-freighter torpedoes under the main bridge and hangar. You know, where our entire base is. It’s sitting on top of a massive cache of mass destruction. Booby trap for the interloper who dares to force them into submission? Or a smart move, and if the latter, where’s the detonator? Who has the launch codes? Are they still on board? Let’s figure this out. And while we’re at it, figure out how to get the gun turrets on this mighty vessel to actually do something in a fire fight…
Note: no regrets. I had come to loathe the star destroyer-lite freighter that used to be the coolest thing in space. It felt good to make a huge change like this, and docking is considerably easier and more enjoyable now. But those torpedoes… damn. Sense of unease intensifies.

If you’re in space and want to escape sentinal interceptors without fighting them, and you’re past the anomaly part of the story, you can summon the anomaly and jump inside, and it will remove your wanted rating.
Space stations work too, but depending on how far away they are, it can be a pain with a disabled pulse drive.
I figured this one out a few weeks ago, and I use it all the time if I’m not in the mood for a prolonged sentinal space fight.

I started playing this game last Christmas and it took awhile for me to get the hang of it. Eventually I found myself drawn to Gravitinos and started farming them exploring between harvests (mostly looking for silver). I learned base building this way and made my first billion units. I know making money isn’t the point of the game but it felt like an accomplishment for me and I was curious how everyone else made their first billion?
