Average No Man's Sky player try not to be generous challenge (impossible)

A massage to the guy who wanted to gift me suff so bad he chased me in the Anomaly:

I bought the game in 2017, picked it up a few times after the big Next update and stopped. I started to play again a little bit over a month ago and I’m amazed. I am fascinated by a lot of mechanics that to me are completely new. Living ships definitely take the first place for me, I want to earn one so bad. Anyways, I managed to complete a few quests, get a decent amount of units, but it looks like the amount of things to do in this Universe is incredibly abundant. I was playing with a friend of mine a couple hours ago, whom was also amazed by this game and bought it instantly after watchig me playing with the PS Share Play for hours, and I helped him to get to the Anomaly. While I was waiting for him to talk with the various npc’s, a guy gave me maps to exosouit upgrade pods. They’re fairly easy to get, so I emoted a “thank you” and “no”, to try and let him know that I’m not that new, and that I didn’t need anything. While I was trying to walk away he literally CHASED ME to give me stuff. He gave me a void egg, which as far as I know, is hard enough to obtain and fairly expensive in quicksilver. We started to CHASE EACH OTHER, because I felt guilty and wanted to give him back the stuff! It was absolutely surreal, and it’s also weird how video game community change that much. Kids wishing you terminal diseases on Rainbow Six Siege, people dying to give you their items on No Man’s Sky. In the end, he managed to sneak a void egg in my inventory. I’m the type of guy who finds satisfaction in obtaining things by himself, I feel that by not going through the regular process, I am missing parts of the game. You won, though, and to honor such victory, I shall keep the sacred egg, fellow traveller. I can’t ramember your username, I think it was something along the lines of “Black Tainted/Painted”, perhaps with a couple of underscores. Thank you, and thank you everybody for making such a community

This game is perfect

I dont know if this kind of post is allowed but I just wanted to say how great this game is and how important it already is to me in so little time.

I have around 1 day of gameplay and it’s hard to describe the feeling this game gives me.

I had a dream of being an astronaut as a kid, though that dream did die a little with time, since music became my biggest passion/dream.

Still, when I found out about this game and understood all the stuff we can do on it, it definitely satisfies the part of me that would love to explore this universe.

Having my own ship, base, going anywhere I want from the dangerous and ugly planets to the beautifull and peaceful ones, it’s truly amazing.

It’s been several months since I haven’t played a game for more than 2 hours in a row, but No Man’s Sky was able to keep me playing for more than that.

Really love this game and it’s community, looking forward to many more hours of playing this masterpiece and I’m really glad the developers never gave up on it, so we can enjoy it

That’s all 🙂

As a former ED player the new space combat is a massive step forward.

Just want to say that adding the ability to toggle power to your shields/weapons etc.. while basic in comparison to other space Sims. It’s a massive step in the right direction.

I used to play a lot of elite dangerous and this is something I missed from space combat. I often felt like no man’s sky was a glorified version of space invaders where I was battling the equivalent to space gnats. A mediocre distraction at best.

Being able to engage in huge space battles, battle and destoy pirate freighters and have to think about it a bit more while having to tactically assign power to your systems is the first time I’ve seen Hello Games add genuine depth to one of the core systems. It’s a massive step forward for players who want expanded deeper gameplay.

I’m hoping this continues into exploration.. crafting and deeper mechanics for the other systems.

I think there's something I don't understand with the nautilon

So I’m doing the dreams of the depths quest, I built the nautilon and added the scanner thingy, and now I’m supposed to use it to find a sunken freighter

The games tells me to use the quick menu to activate the scanner

But there is no quick menu? Or at least I can’t access it?

What am I supposed to do then? Swim across the whole planet untill the regular scanner finds something?
