NMS HOT POST

Is there an option to turn off gifts?

Just had someone on the anomaly put 600 mil worth of starship parts in my inventory. & look, it’s not that I don’t appreciate the gesture, but the grind is the whole point of games like this for me. I want to progress at the intended pace. & while just deleting any items random strangers are inclined to give me works of course, it’d be more convenient to be able to stop them in the first place.

There really should be a “this person wishes to trade” prompt like there is in, you know, literally every other game with trading ever.

PSA to new comers & those who don't know yet: Rewards earned in an expedition can be claimed acr...

This is the reason why I constantly want to bang my head on the nearest wall. How I missed 2 chances to get the golden vector is beyond me.

Anyway, whatever you do, finish the current expedition and bind that awesome speeder ship to your account. When you start future expeditions with a ship that can’t possibly turn and bank any slower, you’ll be thankful that you endured the ridiculous “can’t craft outside of base” this time and claimed it.

Long time owner, first time player

I bought this game when it first came out for PS4, without knowing much about it. The concept seemed cool, but I was wrapped up in a few other games at the time. By the time I had time to give it a shot, the internet was teeming with negative reviews and reactions. I decided to pass.

Fast forward 6.5 years, my VR2 shows up on my doorstep. Looking through the limited selection of games available, I see NMS (still sitting on my shelf, gathering dust). Cool– I already own a game that has a free upgrade and VR2 compatibility! I pop it in and… wow! This game is vastly outperforming any expectation I developed over the years.

Now, I am very slightly aware that in the years since its launch, the devs continued to work on making this game what they intended it to be. But I had a lot going on in my life too, and with new games coming out weekly the NMS ship had kind of sailed for me. I don’t think I ever would’ve given this game a shot if it weren’t for the VR2, but I’m oh so glad I did.

Anyway, still very new to the game (~5 hours), so tons left to learn and explore. Just wanted to say hi to everyone and sorry I’m late.
