I made a giant beetle, this is the baby. It flies really fast, faster than my ship on planet surface.

I haven’t really played the game much since 2020 for a dozen reasons I won’t list here but coming back to it has been wholesome and healing. I won’t go into spoilers but the entire Autophage arc felt like the experiences I had away from the game were k…

Living ships? – jfc I’m getting farscape flashbacks. The clock reset trick didn’t work so I’m.waiting 4 days for this damn quest. And reading a bit further you endn up getting a series of glyphs for the final part? I havnt even beat the main story yet?
Mounts? The hell did I miss? I couldn’t figure out why people had bubbles with a rocket pack on them like some mr bubbles meets predator meets Boba fett thing.
I can’t believe the differences that are in the game. Since when have there been giant dune-esque sand worms in the game? The goddamn thing was probably 3 times the width of my spaceship, and flipped me over, onky to see him go off into the distance.
And booiiiiiii if you saw my face when the first random ass anomaly showed up in flight. Not even the giant ass skulls, the weird ass other ones. One was a GIANT FUCKING BRAIN.
I FEEL LIKE A COMPLETE NOOB. But thats good. 10/10 will play again.

I’m mostly an explorer. I’ve played for around 100 hours, and have about 80m units that I’ve just ended up with over the course of casual play and feel like that’s more than I could ever need. I see people talking about making farms and factories to make all this ridiculous amount of money and I feel like I’m missing something really obvious, because all I can wonder is – why? Other than ships, what is there to purchase? Is there a use for crafting other than just making an end product to sell for more units?

So I decided I was going to go visit Eissentam finally, and starting in my home galaxy of Calypso, I figured hey, I’ll do the thing everyone suggests, go through center, find ancient ruin, find portal, input glyphs that warp near center, go through center, rinse and repeat.
Well, I figured I’d visit an Atlas station first, thinking that if I “recreate the galaxy” again, I could just select paradise systems and I’d find Eissentam. I visited an Atlas station right near the center of Calypso, however, despite having a new Heart of the Sun, it wouldn’t let me recreate a new universe — instead, the quest log just tells me to locate a black hole. Which I did, but obviously didn’t do much since I was already near the center, and actually just erased the Atlas Path quest from my log.
I tell you this because the process of going through a black hole triggers a bit of a glitch.
When I went through the center of the galaxy and dropped into the new one, I was about 3500 LY from the new galaxy’s core.
Turns out, this is an actual thing: it’s called a Core to Core jump. If you enter a black hole before entering the galactic center, you will enter the new galaxy about the same distance that you were when you went into that black hole. This stays active, you don’t need to visit new black holes — I’m jumping my way to Eissentam right now: go through center, fix and fuel ship’s hyperdrive, go through center. No locating ruins, no inputting portal coordinates.

The title is it. Why does my capital ship keep having corridors pop up that mess up my layout? I can’t fix it by removing them. That just messed up the rooms.

If you’re in space and want to escape sentinal interceptors without fighting them, and you’re past the anomaly part of the story, you can summon the anomaly and jump inside, and it will remove your wanted rating.
Space stations work too, but depending on how far away they are, it can be a pain with a disabled pulse drive.
I figured this one out a few weeks ago, and I use it all the time if I’m not in the mood for a prolonged sentinal space fight.

I started playing this game last Christmas and it took awhile for me to get the hang of it. Eventually I found myself drawn to Gravitinos and started farming them exploring between harvests (mostly looking for silver). I learned base building this way and made my first billion units. I know making money isn’t the point of the game but it felt like an accomplishment for me and I was curious how everyone else made their first billion?

After playing casually for 100 hours on normal mode, I switched to easy mode. In easy mode, acquiring ships and resources became free and unlimited. However, I quickly found it boring because I no longer needed to work for anything. Switching back to n…

So I’ve been using the anomaly to portal to a bunch of other galaxies and interesting spots and I’ve found a few planets that I love or have resources I need……is it rude to set up a base on that planet? Especially if another player has multiple bases o…
