I *highly* recommend Hello Games’ other game, The Last Campfire

I hope this post doesn't get deleted as it's not directly about No Man's Sky but still about Hello Games.

Its a 3D platformer/puzzle game and the game is an absolute masterpiece. It's incredibly polished and refined, graphically and visually stunning, and emotionally moving with a beautiful message at the end. You're definitely missing out on something special if you haven't played it.

It's also a great way to support Hello Games for all the free updates we have gotten with No Man's Sky and it's only $20.

Ship hunting is one of my favorite parts of No Man's sky and it is NOT ruined

I don’t interact with like 50% of the games content anyway so if something optional like shipbuilding will make me upset I can just ignore it like I ignore pets and farming and auto miners and literally any space combat. I haven’t played the update yet but the one thing that I do hope for is for unmodified naturally generated ships be unmarked while visually customized ships have some kind of tag in the UI. But if not it’s not a big deal.

Struggling to find curious deposits

Struggling to find curious deposits

I have now spent many hours searching lush “earth like” planets for curious deposits. My criteria are only: must be perfect weather.

Every single planet I’ve visited that fits the bill (there have been many, maybe 20 visited from 50 star systems scanned) have had either metal fingers or sac venom. Never curious deposits!! I know it’s either one of those 3 that you get, but are the curious deposits rarer than the other 2?

I wondered if maybe there is some difficulty setting that is causing me to not get curious deposits on perfect lush worlds? Does Hello Games not want me to enjoy my experience farming nanites? Anything I may be doing wrong?

Do you guys really prefer the old terrain (Pre-NEXT)?

I see a lot of people saying that before NEXT the terrain was better but I kinda like the terrain more now than before, the old terrain generation maybe was more varied but I think it looks way better and prettier now, I played a lot of the old NMS and I really didn’t liked much the terrain at the time, I remember a lot people complained about it too even before NEXT and Atlas Rises.

If they are going to do a reset to the terrain I would like if they keep the terrain that already exist and also add a way to allow the old ones to form as well, or do something that mix both terrains or something completely new.
